japlady: Books

Just cross checked Norris's on line ordering with Amazon, and I find it somewhat disturbing to discover buying my books new from amazon (with free shipping) is cheaper than buying them "used" from Norris.

I emphasize the "used" because I talked to the guy who manages Norris's book store and he told me that they buy most of the used books from 2ndary sources. This explains why Norris's used books cost so much more than buying those same editions used from amazon sellers, even WITH shipping.

yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. I just purchased a brand new cell bio book from half.com (great website!) for about $40 less than the USED book at Norris (and half the new book).

My big complaint is that norris does not post the ISBN numbers of the textbooks- it's like they are trying to make it as hard as possible to not get the book from them.
